Each tube can create 50 mL LB agar, the same one found in all our bacteria experiments, including the Canvas Kit.

If you are getting this LB agar to create more agar Petri dishes for the Canvas Kit and already have your bacteria, sterile water, and Petri dishes, don't forget to add some Selection Tablets (Chlor) too. You will need 1 tablet per 1 tube of LB agar.

With this pre-measured agar, you can learn to pour agar petri dishes, and grow organisms.

Each tube will create 50 mL of LB agar, sufficient for 4-5 small (6 cm) petri dishes or 2 large (10 cm) Petri dishes.

This is for LB agar only. Sterile water, Petri dishes, and any Selection Tablets/antibiotics to make the agar selective are not included.

You will need to provide your own sterile water, Petri dishes, selection tablets or antibiotics, as well as any bacteria, DNA, and other material you need for your experiment.

Cleaning and safety supplies are not included in the kit. Necessary safety and cleaning supplies are latex or nitrile gloves, and a chlorinated bleach cleaner or a 10% solution of chlorinated bleach in a spray bottle (you can make this by adding 9 parts water to 1 part bleach in a spray bottle). You can add a Mini Safety Set to your kit which includes gloves and a reusable plastic apron to protect your clothes.
