Escherichia coli K12 strain, living, E coli

This K12 strain of E. coli can be used as a replacement for expired blank cells in all Amino Labs biology kits that use "blank cells". If you have your own biology class methods that require K12 E. coli, these cells will work great for you.

The cells are living in a nutrient agar called a stab. When you get these cells, you can dip an inoculating loop in and streak out the cells on a fresh petri dish with non-selective agar.

For the best results, and the longest shelf life possible, refrigerate upon arrival. You'll find a "Best by" date on the tubes. This date assumes you've refrigerated upon arrival.
