New York bioartist Marcus Banks collaborates on a new art kit inspired by his own practice so that your students can learn and create art using living, colourful bacteria.  

Students engineer 10 colors of bioink using easy-to-understand, real-world DNA transformation protocols with the Living Color Engineeering kits - Full Rainbow.  

Once the bacteria have produced their bioInk, students learn and design patterns using silkscreening layering principals. The students grow the patterns on petri dishes using natural and engineered bacteria, exploring the differences between them. Patterns are then transferred onto fabric by the students and chemically sealed for safety.
